Why So Serious?
To promote the new Batman film, The Dark Knight, Verizon worked with Oddcast and Moxie Interactive to create a viral marketing campaign based on our 3D VideoStar technology. The campaign invites users to upload a photo and see themselves - and their friends - committed to Arkham Asylum alongside some of Gotham's most notorious villains.
Getting Into the Action
The Verizon Dark Knight campaign represents a huge step forward in terms of the creative possibilities for viral campaigns, similar to our work for Fox Home Video. Users can actually insert themselves into a full movie clip and play the role of a character. The experience is incredibly visceral and realistic: when the character turns his head, so do you; when the character speaks, so do you. With 3D VideoStar, you can put users in the driver's seat of a new car, in the action of a hot new video game, on stage with a music artist, or on the field with a professional athlete. The possibilities are endless.
